Nurturing the next generation of advocates

Making advocacy cool for the MTV and YouTube generations isn’t easy, but some associations are trying. The United Fresh Produce Association is enlivening its policy conference with pocket camcorders and a special session for up-and-com-ing members. The Oct. 1 seminar on grassroots and advocacy will feature the “35-and-Under Fresh Impact Panel”—seven young speakers from the industry, congressional offices and a federal agency.
